The weaving module controls the looms and the weave batches being processed on those looms. Integration with loom controllers and real time status reporting is optional and can be achieved with either the Arel Loom Monitoring system or 3rd party monitoring systems.
Weaving occurs according to the instructions on a weave batch and the system allows a single weave batch to have up to 4 different warp beams to be loaded onto a single loom, along with up to 20 different weft yarns.
Weaving can be performed on any type of loom
(ie traditional air jet/water jet looms or jacquardlooms).
The weaving system caters for the typical wide width weaving process (single fabric width) or multiple fabric widths separated by selvedge (such as for narrow width fabric or towelling, etc).
The system can be configured to doff at predefined piece lengths or the piece length can be flexible. Upon doffing, pieces are removed from the loom and transferred (optionally) to inspection. As soon as the last piece of the weave batch has been doffed the system will release the loom to the next queued weave batch.
Depending upon the level of integration to the looms the system can report on real time actual vs. standard performance figures. It can show the looms that are working, the batch they are working on current efficiency figures. Arel has successfully integrated with a number of weave monitoring systems including Barco.
